Tier One European MVNE Sisteer was granted its license by the Brazilian regulator Anatel, enabling the company to operate on the Brazilian market.
Paris, 16th December 2011 – Two years following the opening of an office in Sao Paolo, tier one European MVNE Sisteer (www.sisteer.com) is authorized by national telecommunications regulator Anatel to operate in Brazil.
Full authorization to operate as an MVNO
The Brazilian telecommunications regulator Anatel, has given Sisteer the license to operate as an MVNx in Brazil.
The license granted to Sisteer is type “Autorizada”, which from Anatel’s perspective gives Sisteer, the ability to implement a full MVNE platform and manage the entire value chain. Thanks to this license, Sisteer is able to operate all the technical and operational components required to commercialize MVNO offerings in Brazil.
A thriving accomplishment in Brazil
Sisteer launched its subsidiary Sisteer do Brazil in 2009 and signed, this year, a strategic agreement with one of the four Brazilian wireless operators. The company, created in 2002 as an outsourcing service provider for alternative operators mainly in Europe and Africa, has grown at an admirable pace since. In 2011, the company’s MVNE activity provided solutions for 30 MVNOs on the SFR and Orange networks, gathering a total of 2 million SIM cards. The company is the first pure MVNE player to enter the Brazilian market.
The path towards global expansion
Altogether with the “Autorizada” MVNO license and the operator agreement, Sisteer now has the complete ability to develop its MVNE activities in Brazil. Sisteer is currently working on the integration of its Brazilian platform with the objective to launch the first MVNO in 2012 and to efficiently address the other business projects for which the company has been solicited.
